Meme and stencils
I’m back to staining wood!
I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. Yes, vacation is fun, too, but this is a different sort of therapy. I’d like to finish the meme project, and have three of the five started.
I’m attempting a stencil of a 45 adapter. I’m not sure how well it will work, but I have to try. I traced an adapter onto a blank vinyl stencil page. It’s plenty sticky, but I think the big problem will be how well I cut it out.
Well, any thoughts on how well this is working? The center circle was not pretty, so I left it to do by hand.
As I removed the masking from this one I realized that I had a nice image on the reverse of the tape.

Dude, you have more patience than I. All that masking – I’m continually amazed.

Tom-
Maybe I should change the name of the blog to “Masking is Life”? I’m glad you commented, ’cause it reminded me of the fancy car masking tapes you told me about. I just put in an order to Eastwood and have a couple different kinds on the way!

I wondered about that masking material. It looks like you’re doing great with what you have, but I hope some of the other stuff works out. Those custom car guys are nuts on some of their masking jobs, so maybe that will offer solutions.
I was thinking of having you do some for me that were the size of coasters. What you’ve got going on looks great thus far.
Oh, and I’m all happy that now my comments have a nice little avatar next to them. Thanks for the help!
